Civil / Structural Engineers
RESPONSIBILITY AND FUNCTIONS |
Design and supervise the onsite construction of roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, drainage works, land developments, and water supply and sewage systems. They must consider many factors in the design process, from the construction costs and expected lifetime of a project to government regulations and potential environmental hazards such as hurricanes and earthquakes. They are required to develop engineering reports, perform structural investigations and review details and direct other work produced by technicians.
Engineers work under the guidance of Directors and Associates.

Education and Experience |
Minimum requirements:
- B.Sc. degree in Engineering
Optional Assets:
- Membership in other international professional organisations
- M.Sc. qualifications
- 1 or more years experience in Engineering

PHYSICAL DEMANDS |
Will have to work in an office setting and use office equipment, including a computer, will require stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions. Will occasionally have to work on construction sites, (either for an extended period of time as a Resident Engineer or shorter periods for site investigations) which will require the use of certain items of safety equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT |
Mainly based in office but occasional site visits will be necessary to monitor construction progress, review site conditions etc. Occasionally may be assigned as a Resident Engineer based on site or be required to travel overseas based on individual project and other requirements. |
